In 2025, the moon hatched, and its offspring died, marking the beginning of a downward spiral. Humanity now faces a dire threat: extradimensional invaders, who, like some humans, possess superpowers, are systematically eradicating the population. By Julietta’s eighteenth birthday, the war has been a prolonged series of defeats, leaving her unsurprised when the sky itself fractures and unleashes death. Her survival, however, is the true astonishment. Julietta unexpectedly develops shapeshifting abilities, allowing her to transform into any living creature she has touched, blending and altering parts with fluid flesh. Her only limitation is her inability to revert to her original form. Stranded behind enemy lines in an unfamiliar body, Julietta must master her new powers, adapt to different forms, and confront new dangers simply to stay alive. Upon her eventual escape, the question remains: will she still be Julietta?
