BOND AND BONDAGE

Oluwayinka Ajibade's "BOND AND BONDAGE" chronicles the devastating fallout for Dr. Badmus Shaphat's family after President's daughter Aliena's corpse is found in his hospital. The President, suspecting foul play and a political conspiracy, imprisons Dr. Badmus and confiscates his assets. With Dr. Badmus’s wife, Basma, previously unable to work, the burden falls on their eldest son, Nabeel. Forced to abandon his education, Nabeel takes on odd jobs, vowing to support his mother and siblings. Driven to desperation, he engages in criminal activities, only to be killed by his younger brother, Majeed, who had become a police officer thanks to Nabeel's support. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Nasir Akeebilahi, a trusted ally and Aliena's godfather, is revealed as her killer, having impregnated her and then murdered her to conceal his crime. He continues to commit murders to cover his tracks, eventually plotting to overthrow the government as his past catches up.
