Fate: Emiya the Host

Shirou Emiya discovers the Hosting System, which allows him to choose goals for the system to complete. His first attempt to ensure Miyu's happiness by clearing the Holy Grail War fails, as the system informs him there is no Holy Grail War in this world. Subsequent attempts to learn magecraft are also met with failure. Desperate, Shirou asks the system for money. The system proposes robbery as a quick way to earn cash, which Shirou immediately rejects as illegal. After the system agrees to operate within legal boundaries, Shirou tries to earn money again. The system's next method involves him calling Taiga Fujimura, intending to ask her to marry him for financial support, a plan Shirou quickly aborts. The system explains this is the fastest legal path to wealth, marrying Taiga, daughter of Fuyuki's largest underworld group, with a 99.9% success rate. Shirou is distressed by the system's unconventional and ethically questionable interpretations of his goals.
