''Tang Yichen, you owe me an explanation for this," Grandpa Tang folded his arms across his chest tapping his boot on the floor.
Tang Yichen sighed, "Grandpa, these are just a few scratches. Do you have to hype it up like this?" He pointed at the minor scratches near his elbow and forehead as he looked at the old man.
Grandpa Song sighed, "Well, Chen, you should stop nagging like that."
Master Song, who was transformed from a powerful enigma to a Chef by his father-in-law, peeled an apple and passed it to his son quietly.
Tang Yichen paused for a moment as he glanced at the weirdly peeled apple before looking at the man. It seems like his father was tortured by his grandpa during his stay in Song's Mansion.
"Thanks, dad," He said, getting the plate from the man's hand. Unlike his sister, he had already addressed Master Song as 'dad' long ago. Initially, he felt a bit awkward about it but he was used to it as now it felt completely natural.
Grandpa Tang glared at him, "Don't stuff your mouth with that. We have a few things to discuss.''
Tang Yichen placed the plate beside him and glanced at the old man, waiting for him to speak.
''You are already 29, about to turn 30 in a few months. How could you be so reckless?"
"GrandpaWhen you know Tang Li's importance in my heart, why would you speak so mysteriously, going around in circles?" Tang Yichen narrowed his eyes.
Grandpa Tang was speechless.
What happened an hour ago was that when Tang Yichen was driving back to home, he received a call from his grandfather.
When he answered the call, the old man started his interrogation, ''Do you know where your sister?"
"In country AWhat happened?"
''Well, she lied to you"
"What do you mean by that?"
''She currently in States, on a yacht facing all kinds of dangers alone while we were completely unaware of it''
A car crashed in a racing bike along with the vehicles behind colliding with each other.
Tang Yichen's eyes widened when he heard his grandfather's words while the car swerved towards the right because of his momentary loss of control on the steering wheel. His car collided against another vehicle, receiving a few dents.
He managed to get his car out of the accident spot in the end moment but received minor injuries because of the broken glass of his windshields which was caused due to the collision.
Present.
Grandpa Tang cleared his throat, "I was just coming to the point that she is safe with Mo Yuhan and I've already sent the rescue teams.''
Tang Yichen rubbed his forehead, "You should have started with 'she is safe now'. But you were informing it to me like narrating some thriller series. How did you expect me to react?"
Grandpa Song nodded, "Indeed, ChengIt's your fault," He glanced at Grandpa Tang.
Before Grandpa Tang could say something in defense, the door to the VIP ward was pushed open as Mo Jia stepped inside.
Grandpa Tang smirked, "Girl, you should teach your husband to take care of himself. He doesn't listen to this old man anymore.''
Grandpa Song and Master Song exchanged glances. It was probably their first time meeting Mo Jia as Tang Yichen's wife. But looking at the girl's condition, they knew it was not the time for introductions and all.
''We will leave now. You both take care," Master Song said, eyeing his father and father-in-law who nodded.
The trio walked out of the VIP ward not knowing there was a big surprise waiting for them at Songs mansion.
''Jia," Tang Yichen glanced at the woman who walked towards him. He noticed how red and puffy her eyes were, "Did youcry?" He asked.
Tears rolled down her cheeks once again as she pounced on him and buried her face in his naked chest. Soon, her silent cries turned to sobs.
Tang Yichen wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer to himself as he stroked her back gently, "Shhh. It's fine"
It took her a long time to calm down. She tilted her head upwards to look at him. He cupped her cheeks and kissed her eyes before peppering soft kisses all over her face.
"Ithought..'' She inhaled a deep breath to calm herself, "In the news, they said"
"Well, I am alive and fine, am I not?" He interrupted her, "Someone recognized me on the accident spot. But by the time the reporters came, I was not there so they must have exaggerated the facts to get some proper headlines."
She nodded slowly.
