Heart of Darkness

Angelica, a woman alone in a man's world, faces dire circumstances after her father's execution for treason. Branded a traitor's daughter, she must find a protector and provider to survive in a harsh, male-dominated society. Her desperate search leads her to Rayven, a man feared by all and bearing numerous physical and mental scars, a consequence of his pride. Rayven, ostracized due to his appearance, is intrigued when Angelica willingly seeks him out. He grapples with her presence, questioning if she represents further torment or a chance at salvation. Meanwhile, a tense dynamic unfolds between Angelica and Rayven, where his intense attraction manifests as aggressive declarations.
