HOTD: The Red Eye Monster

On a dark night in Tokyo, Shizuka Marikawa, a working woman, finds herself in grave danger within an abandoned factory. Just as she is about to lose something precious, a mysterious boy intervenes, saving her at the last second. Shizuka is stunned by the sight of the white-haired boy, his form surrounded by the corpses of those he has just killed. His single red eye and strange appendages erupting from his back, which he uses to impale his victims with ease, reveal him to be no ordinary human, but a monster. Despite labeling him a monster, Shizuka, possessing an uncanny ability to read people's intentions, senses no malice from him, only profound sadness and pain. She sees his kindness in saving her even while in his own anguish. Moved by pity, she impulsively asks him to come with her, unable to leave him alone. The boy, confused by her offer, gazes at her coldly. Unbeknownst to them, this encounter forges an unforeseen bond, a connection that will soon profoundly alter their lives through impending, unseen events.
