Last King of Kings

"Last King of Kings" by xmafian chronicles the reign of Yazdegerd III, crowned Emperor of the Sassanid Empire at the tender age of eight in 632. He inherited a realm teetering on the brink, besieged by enemies, fractured by internal conflict, and ravaged by plague. Tasked with revitalizing a crumbling giant, his reign was ultimately marked by a series of defeats, leading to the Empire's collapse under immense external and internal pressures. This historical fiction, while grounded in real events and characters, presents a reimagined history, warning readers it may be offensive due to its complete rewrite of the past. The narrative unfolds through multiple points of view, featuring a large cast of characters, some more pivotal than others. A planned element of romance will weave through the story, though the development of the main couple's relationship is still being determined. This is not a self-insert story.
