The Broken Mirror

In OJ Washington's "The Broken Mirror," the Dalawa Empire faces an unprecedented crisis as Emperor Micaleaon's seven-day reign nears its end. For the first time, the empire lacks a clear successor. Crown Prince Medan has been presumed dead for thirty years, and his elder brother, Prince Nicadeaus, is a fugitive exiled for using dark magic against him, disqualifying him from the throne should he be apprehended. The Royal Oracle has named Prince Mamadu, the Emperor's younger brother, as the heir apparent, but this decision is challenged by High Priest Lord Parafon. Meanwhile, the man who could be their savior, Malin, a former commander of the SEVENTH ESTATE, has been sentenced to death by the Emperor for unknown crimes. He had previously risked his life to save Revina, the sole princess of Palawa kingdom, from her father's execution order.
