The Captive

Cassandra's life is thrown into turmoil when she discovers a letter delivered to her mailbox containing a chilling threat: "I'm coming for you. No matter how far you think you can run, I can assure you that you can't hide and I'm closer to you than you think." These recurring messages put her and her husband, Mustafa, under immense stress as Cassandra grapples with the possibility of being recaptured. She is desperate to uncover the identity of her tormentor, someone who wishes to return her to a state of bondage. Suspicion falls on several figures from her past, though she dismisses the possibility of Dan, given their history. She questions if it might be the loan shark who held her captive as a child, or even her own mother, who seems to be making dangerous bets with Cassandra's life once again.
