The Mathematician

Cassandra Berry accepts a substantial sum and a college of her choice to deceive a man and become pregnant by him. However, Harry Xavier Devon, a world-renowned mathematician celebrated as the next Newton, is not easily fooled. He quickly discerns his brother's scheme to use a woman to secure an heir for his business empire, as Harry himself cannot have children. Resisting the role of a scapegoat, Harry counters his brother's plan by hiring Cassandra. He offers her double the original payment to continue deceiving his brother, pretending they are having a sexual relationship. Harry believes this is his revenge, but he soon finds himself facing unexpected consequences. Cassandra proves to be more than just a gold-digger; she is not a timid individual. Confined to the same house for an entire summer, Harry, the mathematician, may discover that certain aspects of life defy calculation, especially when interacting with a passionate woman.
