The Simulacrum

Leonard Dunning, an ordinary high school student, awakens on a remote island with no memory of his past. He finds himself amidst classmates who seem like mere archetypes and surrounded by a classic indecisive protagonist and his impossibly beautiful companions. Leonard's struggle intensifies as he navigates this world governed by narrative tropes and clichés. He attempts to avoid falling into the role of a harem protagonist by investigating the very rules of his environment. Despite his efforts, his unusual blend of knowledge from outside this context, his inherent abilities, and his tendency to stir up trouble inevitably pull him into the heart of the unfolding events. This story is a lighthearted, slice-of-life romantic comedy, with hints of combat and mystery, featuring some in-universe meta-commentary from the characters.
