In "This Dungeon Grew Mushrooms," Linden, a hero summoned and inexplicably reincarnated as a mushroom, finds himself imprisoned within a monster-filled dungeon. His only goal: to escape and witness the sun again. To achieve this, Linden utilizes his unique "hero cheat"—the ability to decompose fallen monsters and plunder their skills. He cultivates a thriving mushroom garden within the dungeon's depths. Meanwhile, adventurers unaware of the dungeon's customs meet a grim fate. After sampling Linden's strategically placed, poisonous pale blue mushrooms, they collapse, overcome by the toxins. Fortunately, a passing rescue team saves them from becoming monster food. The rescuers lament the adventurers' ignorance, noting their failure to offer proper sacrifices before foraging. Linden's plan is a slow, strategic counter-invasion of the surface world, fueled by his mushroom cultivation and plundered skills.
