In a world grappling with the arrival of extraterrestrial visitors, Heather begins as an ordinary girl navigating an extraordinary reality. The visitors, struggling to comprehend humanity, find an unlikely bridge through video games. This leads them to construct New Eden, a virtual realm of magic and dragons, where humans can voluntarily enter and participate. The visitors observe and learn from these interactions, deepening their understanding of humankind. Heather, aware of New Eden only through fleeting online mentions, knows people enter willingly, while others are involuntarily selected and known as "the chosen." Her own life, consumed by typical teenage concerns like school and social media, is drastically altered when she awakens in a forest clearing, having become one of the chosen. This event thrusts her into the magical world, forcing her to confront a reality far beyond her previous understanding.
